Vintage 14ct Gold Bermuda Coat of Arms Pendant

Vintage 14ct Gold Bermuda Coat of Arms Pendant

Instead of someone bringing you a fridge magnet as a gift from their holiday, imagine them bringing you a solid 14ct gold pendant... Now that would be a great tourist gift!

This disc is engraved in intaglio (meaning the design is raised) with BERMUDA to the top and the coat of arms below depicting a lion with a shield that has a wrecked ship within it. The lion is a symbol of Great Britain and alludes to Bermuda's relationship with that country. The Latin motto under the coat of arms, Quo Fata Ferunt, roughly means "Wherever the Fates Carry Us".

Condition: Excellent pre-loved condition with light wear commensurate with age. There is currently a preloved jump ring to the top that has been pushed shut. This can be closed by a jeweller to attach to a charm bracelet or if you prefer for us to shut it before shipping so it can hang from a necklace please leave a note at checkout and allow 2 weeks (this could be longer over the festive period).

Hallmarks: 14.585 for 14ct gold, Birmingham anchor and date letter for the year 1990. There is also a faint makers mark.

Weight: 4g
